Quarterback DeVante Kincade on Thursday took come Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors, defensive lineman Donovan McCray earned SWAC Defensive Player of the Year and Broderick Fobbs won SWAC Coach of the Year for the third consecutive year.

The Tigers, who play for Saturday’s SWAC championship trophy against Alcorn State, went 9-0 in the regular season and have won their last 18 SWAC games.

Kincade, McCray and Fobbs were just two of many Tigers recognized Thursday. Grambling led the league with 14 all-conference selections. GSU tied with Southern for the SWAC lead with nine first-team selections.
